Greetings and happy Friday!
(Okay it’s actually not a confession I preach this…)
I’m aspire to be a Trader Joe’s mom when I’m older.
I’m talkin’ TJ’s birthday cake mix for my kids, getting the free sample of the day and buying it 90% of the time, grinding my own coffee beans that smell awesome, frozen dinners on busy nights, alphabet and cat cookies and gummy vitamins and every snack on the Trader Joe’s planet
I went shopping there last week over spring break to get some of my favorites to bring back to my dorm
****I shall power through these last few weeks of the school year with the help of TJ’s****
Here’s a few of the usual things I buy:
Roasted Seaweed Snack
These come in individuals packs that you in throw in your bag before work/class! They are light and crispy with just a little bit of salt–a perfect healthy afternoon snack They also have them in wasabi flavor if you’re into that
This hummus is awesome and super addicting!! I love spreading it on a rice cake or eating it with carrots
This is by-far the best “pretend meat” I’ve ever had! I love them so much that sometimes at home I will just pop a few in the microwave and dip them in marinara sauce as a snack
yum yum yum
Freeze Dried Fruit
Trader Joe’s carries freeze dried strawberries, blueberries, mango, rasberries, bananas, and a mixed berry blend. They make a great snack or yogurt-topping! My friend and I also love dipping freeze dried strawberries or bananas in almond butter!
High Fiber Cereal
I realize this looks super boring, but its actually delicious! I really like crunchy cereals that don’t get soggy quickly in milk, and this is a great one. It’s also perfect for adding to yogurt
Mango Greek Yogurt
I just discovered this over break and I’m in love (as you can see I broke right into one as soon as I got home from the store) I absolutely love the flavor of mango and this even has bits of mango in it. It’s pretty sweet, so I probably wouldn’t have it for breakfast but it’s a delicious snack!
Coconut Oil Spray
All you bloggers out there will not stop talking about coconut oil! I’ve never tried it, but I’ve read it has awesome health benefits and adds flavor. Trader Joe’s only carried it in a large jar and I didn’t want it to go to waste if I didn’t like it, but I got this coconut oil cooking spray so that’s a start…
The list (and my TJs love) could go on and on
Maybe I should start a series?!
Enjoy your Fridays! Enjoy your food!
And if you’ve never been to a Trader Joe’s before–GET THERE!
